Dawdry: Fred -
A lifelong resident of Chatham, Fred Dawdry passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the age of 67.
Born in Chatham, Fred was the son of the late Herb and Ruth (née Willimot) Dawdry.
Loving father of Jeremy Dawdry (Melissa) and Melissa Whaley (Sean).
Predeceased by his wife Debbie Dawdry (nee Waddick).
Proud Papa to Sean, David, Michael and Patrick.
Brother to David, Dianne Massender (Dale), Brian (Christine), Albert (Francis), Kevin (Lori) and the late Paul (2018).
Brother-in-law to Pam Neil and Sandy Poissant (Ken).
Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Predeceased by his canine companion Oscar.
Fred had a creative side, enjoying drawing, painting and colouring. When there was an opportunity to make a joke, he made it.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 12:00pm until the Celebration of Fred's Life at 2:00pm. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Fred to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
