TeWinkel: Derrick JOHN  -

A resident of Ridgetown, Derrick John TeWinkel  passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on January 14, 2024 at the age of 69. 

Born in Chatham, Derrick John was the son of Derk and Dina (née Lammars) TeWinkel. 

Beloved husband of almost 40 years and best friends for 46 years to Janet (née Snobelen) TeWinkel.

Survived by his Daughter Lindsay & Son-in-Law Todd.

Proud Opa to Alexandra, Carter and Mackenzie.  Great Opa to Hazel, Aiden, Owen, Axel and Kendra.

Brother to Hetty, Derk & Lori, Bernie & Rolien, Gerald & Debbie, and Nancy & Bryan.

John did not like to sit still, passionate for hands on work; John worked as an Automotive Technician for almost 50 years with GM and on the farm producing crops and pigs. He was an avid fan of Tractor Pulls and Sprint Car Racing. He grew up hunting in local fields and testing the waters of fishing.  John was the family patriarch, our mentor and our teacher. 

Cremation has taken place and John will be interred at Evergreen Cemetery in Blenheim, ON, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 13th, 2024.  All are welcome to attend.
