Jeannine Grin

Obituary of Jeannine Grin

Grin: Jeannine Renee (née Pinsonneault) -

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jeannine Grin (Pinsonneault) at the age of 65. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Windsor Regional Hospital on December 3rd, 2023.

Jeannine was the daughter of Gerard and Rena (nee Brown) Pinsonneault from Pain Court. She spent her childhood working closely with her parents on the farm. She was a lady of strength and integrity who enjoyed country living and spending quality time with her family. She loved to bake her mom’s recipes and hop in a tractor to work up the land. She was known to always have fresh baked goods on the counter for company. She valued her marriage of 46 years with her soulmate and best friend Jim.

She was a dedicated mom to Dr. Andrea Grin (Dr. Jeff Tanguay) and Michael (Bonnie). She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Mémé to Hunter, Halle and Alex. She cherished watching her grandchildren grow and loved to spoil them.

For many years, she worked at Meadow Park Nursing Home taking care of the elderly. After the passing of her parents, she rekindled her love for farming. She found joy in organizing the Easter egg hunts and Christmas Santa Claus visits for the children in the community.

The family would like to extend a big thank you to the staff at the Windsor Regional Hospital and Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for their excellent care and compassion.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Links of Kent on Saturday January 6th 2024 from 12:00-4:00 pm.

A private family interment will take place.

Donations made in memory of Jeannine to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or a local charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
