Russchen: Nellie (née Tomen) -
A resident of Chatham, Nellie Russchen passed away at Copper Terrace Long Term Care Home on October 22, 2023 at the age of 106.
Born in Toronto, Nellie was the daughter of the late John and Anna (née Berezowska) Tomen.
Reunited with her loving husband Albert.
Loving mother to Ken Russchen and John Russchen (2012).
Cherished grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother to 18.
Nellie was a farm girl through and through and showed that hard work and determination paid off, these were some of the qualities that she passed down to her sons and grandchildren. She loved to garden and was quite the cook. Nellie was an avid reader.
The family are to receive friends on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 12:00pm.
Donations made in memory of Nellie to Chatham Outreach For Hunger would be appreciated by the family.
