Bellemore: Roland Joseph
A resident of Merlin, Roland Bellemore passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the age of 82.
He was the son of the late Omer and Aurea (nee Caza) Bellemore.
Beloved husband of 41 years to Emily (nee Diesbourg).
Dear father of Helene Bellemore (Mike), Denise Gascon (Yves), Gisele Bellemore (Larry), Scott Bellemore (Melissa), Robert Bellemore (Jeanette) and Randy Bellemore.
Proud Pepe of 7 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.
Brother of Isabelle Mannarino (the late Mario), Armand Bellemore (Rose), Rosella St.Pierre (Rosaire), & Roger Bellemore (Annette). Predeceased by siblings, Aurele Bellemore, Lucille Bonnenau (the late Midas), & Monique Mousseau (the late Henry). Predeceased by sister-in-laws, Linda Diesbourg, & Lorette Kirkland (the late Stuart).
Brother-in-law of Annette Bellemore, Ted Diesbourg, Carol Primeau (Brad), & Mark Diesbourg (Kathy).
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Jim & Lise Tulen and Colleen Croft for the tremendous support, care and compassion they have shown during this difficult time.
Roland was the proud owner & operator of Bellemore & Sons Construction for many years. He was a devoted 4th Degree Knight of Andrew Michael Taggart Assembly 0888 and a 3rd Degree Member of Corpus Christi Council 11891. He was actively involved as an Eucharistic Minister with St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Shrine. Roland was an avid gardener, winning Best Garden in Merlin one year. He loved a good days hard work, spending many hours outside. His passion was playing Euchre and spending time with his family and friends.
Family to receive friends and relatives on Friday, October 6th, 2023 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 3:00 - 5:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Vigil Prayers will take place at 4:30 pm. Prayers with The Knights of Columbus will take place at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church & Shrine, 5773 Tenth Line, Merlin at 11:00 am. Burial to follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Roland to St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Shrine would be appreciated.
