Obituary of Barbara Rose Allen
Allen: Barbara Rose (nee Delvallet) -
Barbara Allen passed away peacefully, in the loving arms of her children, at her daughter’s home on December 29, 2020.
Barbara was 83 years old.
Born in Halifax, Barbara was the daughter of the late Pierre and Abbie (nee Hogan) Delvallet.
Beloved wife to the late Bernard Allen.
Loving mother to Chris Allen; Kelly (Dan) Dominato; Mark Allen; Dave (Karen) Allen.
Grandmother to Jessica, Christopher, Scott and Heather-Lynn Allen; Nick and Samantha Dominato; Jennifer, Jayden and Jordan Allen; Dylan and Brandon Allen.
Barb will be sadly missed by her large family in Nova Scotia including her brother and sister - Bob and Carol Delvallet, many nieces, nephews; and also missed by close friends from Blenheim, Windsor and many friends and staff at Chartwell Residence.
Barbara was an extremely loving mother and wife. She appreciated good wine and friends (not particularly in that order), enjoyed her gardens, frequently went for long walks in nature, loved a good book and was very spiritual.
Barb was loved for her bright smile, positive attitude and constant acts of kindness to others - she was the brightest light.
A private visitation and funeral service will take place for immediate family at the funeral home with Father John Juhl officiating.
Cremation will follow the funeral service.
Donations made in memory of Barbara to the Chatham-Kent Alzheimer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
