Gary was formerly married to Virginia Stevenson, mother of his children.

Gary taught for 35 years, was well respected by many colleagues, and will be missed by many of his former students.  He was a member of the barbershop quartet in Merlin and Chatham, church choirs, tractor pulls and loved coaching girls’ soccer. He was a loving, devoted father who loved to have a good time with everyone, especially his 'old' pals.

Cremation has taken place with a celebration of Gary's life to be held at a later date.

Donations made in memory of Gary to the VON, the Blenheim Food Bank, or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 185 would be appreciated.
