Obituary of Evelyn Cameron

CAMERON, Evelyn Maude A resident of Chatham, Evelyn Maude Cameron, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2015 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. She was born in Chatham Township, 90 years ago on March 27th, 1925, daughter of the late David & Daisy (McNeilage) Cameron. Dear sister and sister-in-law to Grace & John Reade and Janet Cameron of Dresden, and the late Lois Cameron, Harold Cameron, Allan & Dorothy Cameron. Cherished Aunt of Bill Cameron, Elaine & Allan Cajka, David & Cheryl Cameron, Ann & Richard Caryn, Sandra & Iain Strump, Laure & Craig McEwan and their families. Predeceased by nephews Alan and Kerry Reade, and neice Cathy. Evelyn worked for many years at Eatons Department Store in Chatham and as a sitter for neighbouring families. She enjoyed baking delicious treats and cooking for family gatherings. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 12:00 noon with Rev. Anna Lee Kerr officiating. A Private Family Interment will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham later in the afternoon.
