Obituary of Alexander Calvin Simpson

Simpson, Alexander Calvin, a long-time resident of Village on the Ridge in Ridgetown, passed away suddenly at Windsor Regional Hospital, Windsor on Friday April 24, 2015 at the age of 67. Born in Toronto, son of Fern (Simpson) Simpson of Strathroy and the late Rev. Alexander James Simpson (2004). Dear brother of Ian & Elaine Simpson, London; Adele & Bob McCallum, Ailsa Craig; and Jane & Gary Walker, Ailsa Craig. Uncle of Wayne McCallum & Darren Fletcher; Ross & Catherine McCallum and their children Avery, Connor & Jillian; Karen McCallum-Ryan & Curtis Ryan and their children Maxwell & James; Jeffrey & Anita Walker and their children Ella, Jack & Kylah; and Nathan & Marie Walker and their children Owen & Caleb. Alex worked for Leaver Mushrooms, Toronto Trust Cemeteries, Hyde Park Garden Centre, and Mori Nurseries. He was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, Ridgetown and affiliated with Future Farmers of America (1965), Canadian Federation of Orienteering and was a University of Guelph graduate (1970) in Agriculture. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, 59 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Saturday May 9, 2015 at 11 a.m..
