Obituary of Elizabeth 'Betsy' Anne Capiau

Capiau, Elizabeth Anne, a resident of Dover Center. Elizabeth “Betsy” Capiau passed away Friday February 27, 2015 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 65. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Harry & Frances (Laprise) Cartier. Loving spouse and best friend to Robert Capiau for 45 years. Dear mother of Yvette Capiau, Wallaceburg; Yvonne (Rob) Seski, Lasalle; and Eric Capiau, Dover Center. Grandmother of Darby, Noble, Lucas, Bryan, Ben, Ian; and step-grandchildren Katie & Rob. Sister of Jean (Graham) Beselaere, Chatham; Lynne (Dave) Secor, Toronto; and Bill (Pat) Cartier, London. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, 2 aunts, 2 uncles and the family pet ‘Henry’. Elizabeth retired in October 2012 after 20 years with the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. She was a member of the Dover Kinettes where she served 1 year as secretary and 2 years as Registrar and served on the Parents Advisory committee for McNaughton Ave. Public School for many years. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Owen Cemetery.
