Obituary of Juliette J. Huxley

HUXLEY, Juliette J. (nee Van Goethem) (Ceil Kiekens) - Juliette J. Huxley (nee Van Goethem) (Ceil Kiekens) went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2014. She smiled, knowing she would meet again her beloved son, Richard who left us in 1967, so early in his life, her loving husband Reg who reluctantly slipped from this earth in 1998 and her parents Marie & Alphonse Van Goethem. Born in Beveren, East Flanders, Belgium, December 17, 1921, Juliette is also predeceased by her husband John C. Kiekens, her sisters Emily (George) Courteaux, Rachel (Robert) Jacobs, and dear friends Marie Fraleigh and Reverend John B. Clark. Julie leaves behind her daughter Nancy (Kiekens) and husband Jim Lamphear of Croswell, MI, daughter-in-law, Judy Kiekens of London, ON. Grandchildren Christopher (Shannon) Kiekens, Deborah (John) Keeling, Steven (Thom Morrisey) Lewis, Michael (Liz Daly) Lewis, Kimberly Lewis, 3 step-grandsons Jeffrey, Christopher, Scott Lamphear, and 17 great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, and her favourite nephew Bradley Jacobs. Sadness fills our hearts, knowing that we can no longer hear her voice, but gladness takes its’ place taking faith that she is in the arms of her loved ones that she missed so deeply. Julie was a 67 year member of the St. Ursula’s Catholic Womens League of which she was a founding member and Past President. She was also a member of the Marion Auxillary League and the Ontario Real Estate Board.
