Obituary of George Oscar Kestelyn

KESTELYN, George Oscar, a resident of Pain Court, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 62. Survived by his mother Georgina Kestelyn of Pain Court. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Kestelyn (2004). Loving father of Jessica Dietrich of Chatham, Karen Kestelyn of Chatham, Adrian Kestelyn of London and Rebecca Kestelyn (Cameron) of Chatham. Cherished grandfather to Quinten, Carson, Cole and the late Keegan (2006). Dear brother to Julie Gagner (Guy), Lucie Gales (Gord), Janet Raspburg (Warren) and Brenda Raspburg (Wayne). George is survived by many nieces and nephews. George cherished his life to the fullest doing things he loved, such as farming, wood working and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Sunday March 30, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Vigil prayers to be offered at 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014 with Father Daniel Bombardier as celebrant. Interment to take place at Immaculée Conception Cemetery, Pain Court. Donations made in memory of George to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
