SNOBELEN: Murray - A resident of R.R. # 4, Thamesville, Murray Snobelen passed away peacefully at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown with family at his side on Sunday, May 3, 2015 in his 95th year. Born in Harwich Township, Murray was the son of the late Robert and Edith (Jenner) Snobelen. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Norine (Annett) Snobelen. Loving father to Barbara Sussex (Frank) of London and Ken Snobelen (Lilly) of R.R. # 4 Thamesville. Proud grandfather of Aaron Sussex (Jodi), Sean Sussex (Jennifer), Sarah Snobelen, Steven Snobelen and Laura Snobelen (David Mashinter). Great-grandfather to Emily, Avery, Luke and Jack Sussex. Survived by his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marie Goldhawk, Florence McIntyre (Elgin) and Betty Annett. Predeceased by his brothers Reg (Madeline) and Bob (Marie). Predeceased by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert Annett, Donald Annett (Anna), Wallace Annett, Donald Goldhawk and Doris McIntyre (Bert). Murray was a lifelong farmer in Howard Township and was a member of St. John's Botany United Church. Murray was a member of Howard Lodge # 391, AF & AM - Past Master and Past Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario. He was a member of Erie-Blenheim Chapter # 73, Royal Arch Masons - Past First Principle, and Past Grand Steward of Grand Chapter; a member of Chatham Lodge of Perfection - Scottish Rite; a member of Kent Chapter Rose Croix - Scottish Rite; a member of Mocha Temple, London and Achom Shrine Club, Chatham; a 32 Degree member of Moore Consistory A & ASR, Hamilton and a Past Patron of Mecca Chapter # 58, Order of the Eastern Star. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held Thursday at 6:45p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 with Marsha Roberts officiating. Interment to follow at Botany Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Murray to St. John's Botany United Church or the Village on the Ridge would be appreciated.
