Obituary of George Gordon Wardell

Wardell, George Gordon – With heavy hearts the family of George Wardell announce his passing at the London Health Science Centre – University Campus on March 21, 2015, at the age of 73. Brother of Velma (late Bill) Campbell of Oxford Michigan, Jean (late Garnet) McQuarrie of Blenheim, Nona Fraser of Ridgetown, Carolyn (William) Christner of Thamesville and Marilyn (late Roy) Hackett of Calgary Alberta. Will be missed by several nieces and nephews. Will also be greatly missed by his four legged friend Debra. Predeceased by brothers; Melvin Wardell (January 21, 1993), William Wardell (June 28, 1957); sister Betty (late Jack) Brownlee (July 1, 1980); and parents Gladys nee Balmer (April 9, 1982) and George (August 23, 1961). George drove truck for 38 years and farmed for many more in Orford Township. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday March 24, 2015 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 11am. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Donations in memory of George may be made to the Thamesville Legion or a charity of choice and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home.
