Obituary of P. Francis Austin

AUSTIN, P. Francis - A resident of Charing Cross, P. Francis Austin passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, Francis was the son of the late Walter and Alicia (Barron) Austin. Beloved husband of Mickey Austin (nee Wysynski). Loving father of Allison Coons (Jason) and Cory Austin (Jay-Me). Proud grandfather of James, Mark and Emily Coons, and Karrigan Austin. Dear brother of Robert Austin of Blenheim and the late John Mac Austin, and late sisters Ada Lachapelle, and Dolores Kelly. Survived by in-laws Michael Wysynski and Virginia Konderka. Also missed by several nieces and nephews. A very special thanks to Cathy from CCAC. Francis was a retired employee of Navistar. He had been an avid bowler with many great memories from Sunset Lanes and he also enjoyed a good game of billiards. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015 with Fr. Mariaraj Irudayam officiating. Cremation has taken place. Donations made in memory of Francis to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
