Obituary of Joseph Dauphin

Dauphin, Joseph (Joe) , a resident of Ridgetown and formerly Chatham, died Wednesday February 11, 2015 at the age of 94. Born in Chatham Township son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Blakeman) Dauphin. Beloved husband of Nora (Antaya) Dauphin. Much loved father of Gary (Heather) Dauphin, Brussels, ON; Susan (Brian) Verburg, Kent Bridge; and the late Mark Dauphin (2001). Loving grandfather of Holly Dauphin; Sarah (Andy) Overholt; Rebecca (Al) deVos; Michael (Michelle) Dauphin, all of Brussels; Melissa (John); Chris; Amanda Wraith, all of Goderich; Joel; Brent (Robyn) of London; Tyler (Juliana); Dylan; Nathan (Sydney); Justin Verburg of Kent Bridge and 8 Great grandchildren. Brother of Murray Dauphin, Chatham and a late twin brother Jack Dauphin; Douglas Dauphin; Donna Legue; and Rhoda Torrance. Brother-in-law of Glen Torrance, Chatham; Loretta Lachine, Ridgetown; Donna Batten, Chatham; Anna Mae (Doug) Pardo, Pardoville; and Bob (Jane) Antaya, Victoria, B.C. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joe was a 4 year veteran of WW II serving with the Black Watch 2nd Division. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 628, Chatham. He & Nora Farmed in McKays Corners, Dungannon & Glencoe. During his retirement he enjoyed golfing, cards and billards. Friends will be recieved at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East Ridgetown on Friday February 13, 2015 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment Arnold Cemetery, Chatham-Kent.
