O'Sullivan: Joan Alice (Evenden) - A resident of Chatham, Joan O’Sullivan passed away at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance in Chatham on January 12, 2015 at the age of 90. A resident for the past 3 years at the Chatham Retirement Resort, Joan was born in Heathfield, England; the daughter of Ebenezer and Emily (Atkins) Evenden. Mother to Sheila (Larry) Boak of Tiny; and Wayne (Bonnie) O'Sullivan of Chatham. Dear sister to, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Evenden of Seaforth; Loving Nana to Amber (George) Duthie of Petawawa. Grandmother to Sean O'Sullivan of London, and Michael O'Sullivan of Belle River. Great-grandmother to Olivia O'Sullivan. Joan will be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews in both England, and Windsor Ontario. Joan goes to join her beloved husband Cpl. Fred O'Sullivan (1979) and special friend Richard "Dick" Reid (1984). Also predeceased by brothers Roy and Douglas; sisters Yvonne, Connie, and Kath. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home in Chatham on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 am. Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 pm; Capt. Andrew Watkinson from the Salvation Army officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society or the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
