LINDSAY: Madlin Amanda (nee Hansen) -

A resident of Blenheim, Madlin Lindsay passed away quietly at home on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the age of 86.

Born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Madlin was the daughter of the late Axel and Verne (Taylor) Hansen.

Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Lindsay (2009).

Loving mother of Garry Lindsay (Nellie), Charles "Lawrence" Lindsay (Gloria) and Candace Lindsay (Jeff Dunlop).

Grandma of Nicolas (Sam), Kyle, Veronica (Todd), Rebecca (Chris), Craig, Micheal (Katie), Parker (Sarah), Mason (Andrea), Paige, Ian and Ashley (Jasmine).

Great-Grandma to Emily, Bentley, Douglas, Carter, Holley and Norah.

Predeceased by her siblings Amelia, Gordon and Douglas.

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Madlin worked as a nurse at the Southwest Regional Centre, later working at the Guilds Nursing Home and Blenheim Community Village. Madlin was the Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion. Br. 185, Blenheim Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed sewing, quilting and feeding the birds and animals.

Madlin was a very proud, determined, hard working woman. She took pride in her independence.

She loved playing euchre with her friends from the Senior's Centre, especially when there were stakes on the game.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 11:00am - 12:30pm. Those planning to attend are required to register online at (https://signup.com/go/RdLGEzL) or by phoning the Funeral Home. A Private Family Service will be live-streamed at 1:30pm on the Funeral Home website. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
