He was a very successful barber on Talbot Street in Blenheim. Like any good barber, Johnny had the 'gift of the gab'. He had many special talents, especially in music. He won many awards playing the fiddle at country music contests. Wilma and Johnny donated a lot of time performing together at local events and nursing homes. He was also an avid gardener and loved his horses and German Shepherds. Wilma and Johnny loved to spend the cooler months at their winter home in Florida. Johnny always dressed to impress. Even at the nursing home, he insisted on wearing a suit and a tie.

He cherished his family and loved spending time with them. Johnny was a strong role model to those in his life. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
