BUSCHEMEYER: Leda "Leatta" Barbara (nee Gore) -

A resident of Blenheim, Leatta Buschemeyer passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the age of 72.

Born in Chatham, Leatta was the daughter of the late Dexter Gore and is survived by her mother Velma Jones (nee Bentley) (late George).

Beloved wife of 53 years to her high school sweetheart, Brian Buschemeyer.

Loving mother to Scott Buschemeyer, Alex Buschemeyer (Val Sharpe), Marc Buschemeyer (Svetlana Mutic) and Ryan Buschemeyer.

Honourary mother to Lottie Lavoie (Chris) and Stephanie Jones.

Proud Grandma to Victoria, Noah and Morgan.

Dear sister to Edna Jones (late Roy), Gloria Stewart (Morris), Vada Tait (Don), Lisa Gore, Linda Sinclair, Phillip Gore, Richard Gore, Roland Gore (Donna).

Predeceased by her brother Gerald Gore and infant brother Douglas Gore.

Sister-in-law to Penny Yako (Terry).

Predeceased by in-laws Wayne Buschemeyer (2002) (Elizabeth), Randy Buschemeyer (2005) (late Gloria), Steve Buschemeyer (2013) (late Donna), Terry Buschemeyer (2019) and Marianne Bechard-Ellis (2020) (Leland).

Dearly missed by the matriarch of the Buschemeyer family, Nancy DeBeer.

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends and extended family.

Leatta loved travelling, having gone on multiple adventures with Brian to Ireland, Las Vegas, and Bahamas to name a few places. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino and was an avid card player (don't sit beside her!).

Leatta will be remembered for her determination, her courageous spirit and her infectious laugh.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Those planning to attend are required to register online at (https://signup.com/go/wBHHDwm) or by phoning the Funeral Home. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that all attendees wear a mask.

A Private Family Service will be Live-streamed at 11:00am on Friday, September 17, 2021 by CLICKING HERE. Interment to follow at Pardoville-Union Cemetery.
