Obituary of Marjory Dunn

Dunn, Marjory Gertrude (nee Cumming) - passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Sunday December 2, 2018, age 93.

Marge is predeceased by her beloved husband Joe (1992) and her dear son John (2008).

She leaves behind the families of her three sons and one daughter. That is just the beginning. Marge's circle of family and friends was large, far reaching and full of deep love.

Born in Guilds, and raised in Blenheim, she called Kent County "God's Country".

She started work at 16 to help out at home. In her late years with help from her friends the Ladies of the Lake, she found she was a gifted quilter. She enjoyed time at Morpeth Seniors, her love of reading made her a fierce opponent in a game of scrabble which she loved. Marjory would never say no to a little outing to the casino and slots. Her wicked sense of humour and big heart helped shape this fun, warm, and caring woman and confidant. Marjory will be sadly and greatly missed.

One of Marjory's last wishes was to gratefully thank all the compassionate and caring people who helped care for her these past two months. The amazing staff at Chatham-Hospital, LHIN Palliative Care Team and the Nurses from VON. Every single person was kindness personified.

Visitation and Celebration of Life will both take place at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park St. Blenheim. Visitation on Tuesday December 4, 2018 from 2-5pm. Celebration of Life on Wednesday December 5, 2018 at 11am. Burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com.

Those wishing to remember Marge are asked to select a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers, or, and this is a direct quote from Marjory "in lieu of flowers, spend a little money at Casino Dresden, its way more fun!".
