So sorry to hear about your mom's passing. She was such a friendly, genuine lovely lady.
She painted a picture of our family home for my parents. I look at it often and think of Elsie since I now have it hanging in my home. A wonderful memory of a great family home and the talented artist who painted it for us. HUGS!

We always remember your mom for her smile and great sense of humour. She always blushed and got so excited when she was telling a story. Thinking of you all at this time and thanking you for sharing your Mom in so many ways in the Blenheim Community. She touched the lives of so many through her paintings.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Elsie through Ridge Players but she knew my mother as a Brownie Leader. My fondest memories are of the way her eyes would light up and she would almost be bubbling in anticipation to your reaction to one of her stories. May you be comforted in the coming days by the remembrances shared by those whose lives she touched.

Because Elsie was an artist, a story teller and an historian it came to pass that we, with adjoining interests, would ultimately meet both Elsie and her beloved Hank. We found her books and used them to travel the roads and backroads of Kent County. Eventually we added Elsie's paintings and drawings to our personal art collection and we added every one of her books to our book collection.
We also shared stories of travel and laughter in our visits with her at home in Guilds. She was a most intelligent and wonderful lady. We will most assuredly miss her and her smile and laugh especially when she was lightly teased. Now, of course, this lovely person will enrich heaven and once more walk with her Henry. We will miss our dearest Elsie but Henry will welcome her home. Thank you Elsie for being the wonderfully creative person you were for we are all indebted to her for her contribution to a richer life for we amateur historians. By the way, I shall cherish my favourite photo of her in her painting smock at the Centre in Blenheim where she did the murals--a painting smock with colours splashed like an abstract painting. That was our Elsie, vibrant and colourful. Goodbye Elsie we will miss you so much. LBJ & MJBJ
