GAWLEY: Thomas Rexford 'Tom'- A resident of Blenheim, and formerly of Windsor, Tom Gawley passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with his family at his side on Thursday, March 23, 2017, his 81st birthday. Born in Toronto, Tom was the son of the late Howard and Hazel (Olgivie) Gawley. Loving spouse of 60 years to Dawn Gawley (nee Wilkie). Dear father of Scott Gawley (Martha) of Dawn-Euphemia, Joy Campbell (Jim) of Blenheim, Karen Wammes (Neil) of Blenheim, Susan Cassidy (Dale) of LaSalle, and John Gawley (Laurie) of London. Proud Grampy of Brittany Reifenstein (Paul), Bradley Gawley (Megan); Tyler Campbell (Christy), Jessica Townsend (Dave), Shauna Hyndman (Alex); Mitch Wammes (Lindsay), Kate Wammes; Kelsey Cassidy, Nicole Cassidy; Clinton Ostrander, Ashlyn Ostrander and Cameron Ostrander. Great-Grampy to Larkyn, Hollie, Max, Brewer, Owen, Avery and Hank. Dear brother to William Gawley (Helen) and Lynn Timmermanis (Lou). Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Tom retired from the Blenheim PUC after 30 years of dedicated service. He was very active in the community. Tom had been a boy scout leader, an elder at the Blenheim United Church, a member of the Board of Education, a coach for Girl's Baseball, the President of the Curling Club, President of the Association of Municipal Electrical Utilities of Ontario, a 30 year volunteer firefighter at the Blenheim Harwich Fire Department and a founding director of the Blenheim and Community Golf Course. As per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at a later date.
