Obituary of Stanley James 'Stan' Vaughan

VAUGHAN: Stanley James 'Stan' - A resident of Merlin, Stan Vaughan passed away at his home, with his family at his side on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the age of 75. Born in Chatham, Stan was the son of the late John and Mary (Gallerno) Vaughan. Beloved husband of 46 years to the late Peggy (nee Guttridge)(2015). Loving father to Laurie Phillips of Chatham, Cindy Kennedy (Joe) of Stoney Creek, Michael Vaughan (Lourdes Ramirez-Reyes) of Windsor, David Vaughan (Jennie) of Ridgetown and Bryan Vaughan (Crystal Dakin), Judie Moir (Randy) and Timothy Vaughan (Suzanne) all of Merlin. Proud Grandpa to Mathew, Marsha (Chad); Daniel (Gaby); Joshua, Nicholas, Daniel, Mateo; Amanda (Dylan), Brandon; Drew, Erin, Robbie; Katie, Kylie, Tyler; Kaylie and Harley. Great-grandfather to Serenity and Dominic. Survived by his sister Shirley Seller (Brian) of Dover Township. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Stan was an avid golfer, a very talented bowler, and enjoyed watching Nascar. Stan was a former member of the Ridgetown Kiwanis Club, the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 185, Blenheim and a current member of Br. 465 Merlin. As per Stan's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at Merlin Cemetery at a later date. Donations made in memory of Stan to the Liver Foundation, V.O.N.
