Obituary of Alexander Kuni

KUNI A resident of Chatham, Alexander Kuni died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Sunday, January 1, 2006 at the age of 73. Born in Hungary, son of the late Frank and Maria (Bauman) Kuni. Beloved husband of the late Wally (Valerie) Kuni, nee Ohlew (October 4, 2005); and cherished father to son Michael Kuni of Chatham, daughters Heidi Huckle of Chatham, Deborah and her husband Roger Butt of Scarborough, and the late Ingrid Van Massenhoven and his son-in-law Frans of Eganville. Loving grandfather to Alexander and his wife Vicky, Elizabeth, Rachel, Lynn and Teresa and great-grandfather to Vanessa and Marianne. Dear brother of Wendel Kuni and fiancée Brenda, Joseph Kuni and his wife Mary-Louise, Anthony Kuni and his wife Alma, all of Chatham and predeceased by brothers Frank and Steve Kuni. Alex loved fishing and gardening and was a member of Rolyn Golf Trails Golf Course. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Wednesday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be offered at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Agnes Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2006 with Rev. Fr. Terence McNamara, Celebrant. Interment of cremated remains in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. Donations, made by cheque, to "Rolyn Golf Trails Junior Golf Program" or Charity of Choice appreciated.
