Albert was born in Cache Bay, Ontario and moved with his family as a young boy to Timmins, Ontario. His love of hockey brought him to Chatham, Ontario where he played for the Chatham Senior Maroons and later the Wallaceburg Hornets. He worked at the Chatham Hydro for 35 years and made many lifelong friendships along the way. After his retirement from the Hydro, he was able to enjoy his love of the outdoors while working at The Links of Kent Golf Club (formerly Indian Creek Golf Club) in Chatham for 15 years. He will be fondly remembered by many relatives and friends. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Copper Terrace, especially the staff on 2 East. They made Albert’s time there as comfortable as possible and the family was most appreciative of their compassionate, palliative care. As were Albert’s wishes, cremation will take place with family will gather for a private service at McKinlay Funeral Home in Chatham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be most appreciated, if you wish.
