It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a wonderful, hard working husband, father and grandfather. Ronald passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus. He put up a courageous battle with Parkinsons for the past several years.
Beloved husband of 52 years to Marilyn (Swance). Loving father of Jim English and wife Dorothy of R.R. # 4 Blenheim and Mary McLaughlin and husband Tom of R.R. # 5 Wallaceburg. Proud Papa of Trevor and Jocelyn McLaughlin who meant the world to him. Extended family Donald Arnold and wife Becky and their children Addison and Camden.
Predeceased by his parents Harold Alvin English (1982) and Marjorie English (Read) (1993).
Ronald farmed all of his life until his health started failing two years ago. He was also a fieldman for several companies looking after dark tobacco.
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays games helped pass the time when he could no longer work. At Ronald's request, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place with a private funeral to be held.
Donations made in memory of Ronald to the Parkinson Society or the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance would be appreciated.
