BUTTON, Evelyn

A resident of Blenheim, Evelyn Button, passed away at the Blenheim Community Village Retirement Residence on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the age of 94. She was a longtime resident of Raleigh Township and Charing Cross. She was the beloved wife of Harvey Button (predeceased 2001). Daughter of the late Charles & Violet Russell.

Loving mother of Janet Nethercott, Bonnie (Murray) Jinks, and Lois Button. Predeceased by infant son John Charles.

Cherished grandmother of Alan (Elizabeth) Jinks, Mark Jinks, Stacey Nethercott, Kevin Nethercott, and great-grandmother of Matthew and Colin Jinks.

Survived by her sister Lois (Dick) Wills, sister-in-law Betty-Lou English, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ross & Ruth Button. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Predeceased by her brother Clifford, sister Jean (Trinnear), brother-in-laws Robert Trinnear and Richard "Dick" Wills.

Evelyn was an avid gardener, square dancer, quilter, and artist. She was a loyal member of the Charing Cross United Church Choir for 81 years.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Charing Cross United Church, 8561 Middle Line, Charing Cross on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Pardoville-Union Cemetery.
