SMYTH A resident of Chatham, Irene Smyth died at Copper Terrace Nursing Home, Chatham on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the age of 83. Born in Toronto, daughter of the late Neftle and Rose Alma (Smith) Rainville. Loving mother of Joanne and Jim Kelly of Chatham, Judy and Bernie Portis of Corunna and Peter and Kim Virtue of Lapeer, Michigan. Nanny to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sister of Molly Rose Labadie of Chatham, Mildred Brady of Port Elgin, Ken Hackett of London and the late Kathleen Carney, Jim, Roy and Don Hackett. Irene lived in Chatham most of her life and was a member of St. Paul's Congregational Church and the C.C.W. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, December 2, 2005 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 1:30 p.m. from the Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Margaret Moriyama officiating. Private Family interment of cremated remains in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. Donations, made by cheque, to the Alzheimer Society appreciated.
