Obituary of Allan Victor D'Clute

D'CLUTE: Allan Victor - A resident of Blenheim, Allan D'Clute passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the age of 101. Born in Landa, North Dakota, Allan was the son of the late Victor and Eliza Jane (Craford) D'Clute. Beloved husband of the late Jean Margaret (nee Yemen) (2006). Dear father to Dale D'Clute (Mary) of Strathmore, AB and the late Deborah Pretty (2014). Father-in-law to Danny Pretty. Proud grandfather of Lisa D'Clute (Derrick Handsor), Mellissa D'Clute and Joel D'Clute. Great-grandfather to Samantha, Michael, Maddison and Lexi. Great-great grandfather to Annastasia. Predeceased by his sisters Jean Linley and Thelma Lee and his twin sister Wilma Kersey-Vervaet. Predeceased by his infant siblings Glen and Sara. Special uncle to Anne Franssen (Harry), Larry McCandless (Joan), Andy Yemen (Pam), Lynda McGillvory (Rod) and the late Allan Kersey (2001). Also missed by many friends and extended family. Allan farmed in Raleigh Township, drove school bus for Blenheim Bus Lines, and was a coach driver for Chatham Bus Lines. He was a member of Kent Lodge #274 A.F. & A.M., a past Grand Steward of the York Rite, a Past Grand Steward of the Royal Arch Masons and was a member of the Blenheim Shrine Club and Mocha Temple as well as the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #185, Blenheim. Allan was a Veteran of WWII, having served with the RCAF. Allan served for 27 years as the secretary treasurer and sexton of the Craford Cemetery Board. He was a member of the former Cedar Springs United Church and served on the Board of Stewards, and as a Clerk of Session. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street Blenheim on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Legion Service at 7:15 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 with Pastor Ed Nicol officiating. Interment to follow at Craford Cemetery, Raleigh Township.
