L. Ross Hebblethwaite


May 17, 1949 - October 18, 2017

A lifelong resident of Blenheim area, Ross Hebblethwaite passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with his family at his side on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the age of 68.

Born in Chatham, Ross was the son of the late Glen and Lorna (Cleveland) Hebblethwaite and step-son to the late Franklin McDougall.

Survived by his loving wife Connie (nee Palmer) of 37 years and his two current canine hunting companions Beau and Jessie.

Also his brother and best friend Allen Hebblethwaite (Judy). His sisters-in-law Hope MacCrostie (Dale) of Kincardine and Carol Palmer of Dryden. Greatly missed by his nieces and nephews Shannon Hebblethwaite (Greg Felix) of Montreal, Stacey Merlo (Joe) of San Diego, Sherry Gauthier (Harvey) of Dryden, Pamela MacCrostie of Pickering and Jeff MacCrostie (Zoe) of Paisley. Also 3 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews.

Predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Annie and George Palmer, brother-in-law Gary Palmer, niece Michelle Palmer Wagar and nephew Michael Palmer.

The Hebblethwaite brothers have been well known farmers in the area for 47 years. Ross was a graduate of Blenheim District High School and the R.C.A.T. in Ridgetown. Ross was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many hunting trips with great friends and well trained dogs.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Monday, October 23, 2017. Interment to follow at Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate.
